Russ is the president and owner of Cape Cod Financial Services, an independent financial services firm based on Cape Cod and Nantucket.
Russ is a graduate of Massachusetts Maritime Academy. After graduating from MMA, he traveled the world as a ship’s engineer and later was employed by UCLA at their power facility. Twenty five years ago, Russ made a career change to pursue his passion—empowering people by helping them gain control over their money. Russ enjoys developing personal relationships with his clients while helping them plan and work toward their financial goals and dreams.
Russ spent the beginning of his career working for AG Edwards and at an investment bank prior to establishing Cape Cod Financial Services. The move to an independent firm has been a positive change for Russ and his clients. Free from sales pressure and incentives, Russ has the freedom to offer the best possible options after considering a wide variety of products and solutions.
Born and raised in Osterville, Russ and his wife, Michelle are happy to be living on Cape Cod full-time with their three daughters. Russ has served annually on the Massachusetts Maritime Alumni Golf Tournament Committee and is a member of the Wianno Yacht Club, and Nantucket Anglers Club. Since 2021 Russ has been a member of the Hemingway Look-Alike Society and on 7/23/2021 he was 1st Finalist. The Hemingway Look-Alike Society is much more than a bunch of "portly gray bearded old men." Several years ago the society sought a way to honor the name of Ernest Hemingway while at the same time seeking a higher purpose for this wonderful group of bearded men who hather together every July. Thus the Hemingway Look-Alike Scholarship program was developed to provide students attending Florida Keys Community College a helping hand. Russ also enjoys shell fishing, boating, snow skiing, traveling, and golfing. In his spare time, Russ is enthusiastic about restoring classic Boston Whalers.
